I had the extreme pleasure of shooting my old friend December. We've known each other forever, but I feel like it's been only the past few years where I have truly realized how well we click. We both love long hair and taking photos, for one.
She was perfect for these photos: her hair is mesmerizing, her eyes are full of depth and thought. I wanted something from these photos that would have been a combination of both the Lana Del Rey craze and my love of American Horror Story, specifically the character Lana, from Asylum. I admit that I did not exactly achieve my vision, but really, I never do with my photos. My vision for these photos was truly grounded in this flower headband that I made of flowers my boyfriend gave me. They dried for a few months while I waited for her to come up to Alaska from Tennessee. 
I wish I could have captured how hilarious our sisters Gabby and Bethlehem were being just a few feet to the left of December in this photo.
Tell me her hair is not absolutely perfect.
